Francuska ocena chińskiej inicjatywy Pasa i Szlaku w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej na tle relacji UE – Chiny
Inicjatywa Pasa i Szlaku (Belt and Road Initiative, BRI ; fr. la nouvelle route de la soie), stała się centralnym punktem interakcji między UE a Chinami. Chiny, promując proces tworzenia nowych relacji handlowych, skutecznie dążyły do pogłębienia zależności gospodarczej Europy i umocnienia wpływów politycznych wobec partnerów w niej uczestniczących. Jednym z teatrów geopolitycznej rywalizacji stał się region Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej (EŚW), który ze względu na położenie geograficzne („brama” do Europy), stał się celem chińskiej ekspansji. Francja, która miała ambicje udziału w projekcie Pasa i Szlaku, podkreślała, iż będzie on sukcesem, o ile zostanie oparty na „zrównoważonej kooperacji” i nie przekształci się w instrument chińskiej hegemonii geoekonomicznej. Celem artykułu jest omówienie francuskiej percepcji współpracy Chin z państwami EŚW w formacie 16(17)+1 i jej implikacji dla spójności polityki UE wobec Państwa Środka.
