Nuray Ekşi is a Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Law of Marmara University, Istanbul, Türkiye, and a barrister registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. She is a leading expert in the fields of private international law, international trade law, and arbitration. In 2006, she lectured at the Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands. Within the framework of a bilateral cooperation protocol between the scientific committees of Slovenia and Türkiye, she led the project titled “A Comparative Study of Turkish and Slovenian Laws on Dispute Resolution Mechanisms Concerning Cultural Property”. This work culminated in her 2024 book Dispute Resolution Mechanisms Regarding Cultural Property in National and International Law, published by Beta Publishing. She is co-editor of Law, Humanities and Tourism: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Restitution of Cultural Heritage, Artworks and Artefacts, published by Cambridge Scholars in 2025. Additionally she also serves as editor-in-chief of the forthcoming volume Protecting Cultural Property: Multiple Mechanisms for a Single Objective, to be published by Springer Nature.
