TY - JOUR TI - Mode choice modelling for urban areas AU - Birr, Krystian TI - Mode choice modelling for urban areas AB - This article addresses the issue of mode choice modelling using a four-stage travel modelling process. The article indicates limitations of the currently used simplified methods of mode choice modelling and proposes the use of a more detailed approach that accounts for additional, statistically significant factors with the use of advanced mathematical tools and discrete choice models. A need has also been identified to include qualitative factors in forecasting the modal split and in the scenario analyses VL - 2018 IS - Volume 6 Year 2018 (115) PY - 2018 SN - 0011-4561 C1 - 2353-737X SP - 67 EP - 77 DO - 10.4467/2353737XCT.18.087.8692 UR - https://ejournals.eu/czasopismo/czasopismo-techniczne/artykul/mode-choice-modelling-for-urban-areas KW - travel modelling KW - modal split KW - mode choice modelling
