abstract = {Ageing of the society demands essential changes in the social policy. Activating elderly people, which is realized by local governments, is becoming a desirable action. Universities of the Third Age are one of its forms. The research conducted among the University of the Third Age and Disabled People in Elbląg students shows that they are quite satisfi ed with their lives, which is conditioned, among other things, by the level of life activity including participation in the University of the Third Age and Disabled People classes.},
