abstract = {The process of building knowledge in the area of management in education has started recently. That is why we are still searching for adequate concepts and ways of conceptualizing its main ideas. There are some difficulties in this process and the most important one is lack of specific educational theories and concepts of school management. The paper presents an attempt to point out the idea of organizational culture as proper for the area of management in education. Selective review of different theories of organizational culture is focused on finding such elements that can be useful in the process of building specific knowledge of management in education.},
