The main objective of the study is to characterize the use of new media in the area of political communication. The detailed objectives were formulated as follows: characteristics of the use of new media in political communication, with particular emphasis on tools such as the website and Facebook, and identification of activities and evaluation of the City Hall in Elbląg on the official website of the office and Facebook fanpage.
