	The aim of the essay is to present the differences in the approach to raising children that exist in Poland and Norway, and to present the specificity of the activities undertaken by the controversial Barnevernet institution. It is also an objective discussion of differences in relations between parents and offspring, understanding and development of the idea of children’s empowerment and forms of discrimination both in the family and from the so-called welfare state.&lt;/p&gt;
