In the case of media organizations, reactions to a crisis should be bilateral. In addition to their own internal decisions, media are supposed to report on crisis to the public. The author of the considerations wonders media coverage has an impact on the course of crisis. Based on an example of economic crisis in the USA in 2007–2009 were considered the effects that media reports or their lack can bring for the economic situation.
