abstract = {In Poland, most noticeable is the lack of a widely used systematic of construction works for the classifying and systematizing works. Such a systematic should be used in order to facilitate cost estimation and quantity takeoff comparisons and to show the relationship between the technical documentation and cost studies. Such systematic may allow for classification of construction works, elements and materials in each phase of construction investment. The article presents the idea and characterizes shortly the world’s most widely used construction works systematics. A comparison of selected systematics was made. It was also shown an example of selected systematics.},
