abstract = {The paper presents a case study analysis of the energy demand for an old building located in Cracow. Some improvements in construction of the building envelope, especially in thermal insulation and in the heating system, have been analyzed. Reduction of the energy demand index has been shown in the three variants that were considered. The goal of this study was to assess the possibility of obtaining low energy demand in a typical old poorly insulated building.},
